SÜDTOR CAR PARK ROSTOCK
Privacy policy
The German version of this policy is the authoritative one.
1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website is:
ESS 31-34 GmbHHofgängerweg 2
18059 Papendorf
Phone: +49 381 4582973
Email: jan.peter.nissen@wohnpark-rostock.de
2. Scope of processing
This website is purely informational. There are no user accounts, no contact form, no newsletter and no ordering function. We therefore process only the data your browser transmits for technical reasons when you open the page.
You are under no obligation to provide any data. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
3. Server log files
When you open the website, your browser automatically transmits data that the server records:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of the request
- name and path of the requested file
- volume of data transferred and status code
- referrer URL, where transmitted
- browser type, browser version and operating system
This data is technically necessary to deliver the page, keep it stable and detect attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This data is not merged with any other data source.
Log data is kept only as long as it is needed to deliver and secure the website and is then deleted automatically. We do not store or analyse it beyond that.
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). Hosting and technical maintenance are carried out on our behalf. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which Vercel is certified, and additionally on the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
4. The map on the “Discover Rostock” page
The “Discover Rostock” subpage has a city map. It is only loaded once you click “Karte laden” (load map). The mapping software runs on our own server; the map images (“tiles”) come from tile.openstreetmap.org, operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. When you click, your IP address is transmitted to that service. The map service does not set any cookies.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. For the United Kingdom, an adequacy decision of the European Commission applies (Art. 45 GDPR), most recently renewed in December 2025.
Your choice is not stored: the page will ask again on your next visit. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by reloading or closing the page; no further map images are requested after that. Destinations, distances and route links also work without the map.
5. Links to external services
The site links to route planning, public transport, public authorities, neighbours in the building and places to visit. Those connections are only made once you click a link. The operators of the target sites are responsible for data processing there.
6. No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and embeds no analytics, advertising or social media services. That is why there is no cookie banner. The only consent concerns the city map (section 4) and is requested directly at the map.
7. Your rights
You have the following rights against the controller:
- access to the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Independently of this, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one responsible for us: Der Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schwerin, Germany. The authority of your habitual residence is also competent.
8. Right to object
Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (server log files, section 3), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21(1) GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
9. Status and changes
Status of this policy: September 2026. We will update it if the website or the legal situation changes. It will be reviewed again before the car park opens.
